****Almost fully restored Porsche 928****** 1979 5 Speed Porsche 928 VIN # 9289200332 for sale Highest bid at Auction was $17097.00 CND ****Buy it Now has been lowered to $18000.00 CND***** Actually mileage of this 928 is unknown as for those that know 928's the little plastic gear in the odometer always fails. This one was replaced when the cluster was fully serviced and odometer was reset to 0 at that time. Now reads 40 miles. Read 54324 when changed. The car was originally imported to Beverly Hills California in 1979 as it states in original maintenance booklet. At some point it was imported to Alberta Canada where it spent the majority of it's time in storage (10+ years) and not driven. It is evident it was always in a dry environment. Car is 99% rust free. It had 2 owners in Alberta and now I have it in Ontario Canada. Car Fax unavailable pre 1981. When I bought the car sight unseen from Alberta the owner completely mis-represented it's condition and I was badly taken by him. I have spent the last year and a half doing a near perfect full restoration with bills in excess of $15 000.00 USD and receipts to prove which will be passed along to the new owner. Car will also come with a full set of factory shop manuals, quality car cover, and many many spare used parts ( if desired by new owner). Everything on this 928 was gone over, serviced and/or replaced with new with the exception of the suspension and exhaust (original). Muffler will most likely need replacing at some point as a previous owner has done some awful Frankenstein patch work to it. My plan was to replace it with a new Borla system for $700 USD. Paint is a dark Grey metallic and a 8.5 out of 10. Looks really good overall but does have the odd minor scuff and/or swirls. One minor blister on passenger door the size of a pea. Interior is new Pasha at a huge expense to me. Material imported from Belgium. What sets this 928 apart from many is of course the 5 Speed but also what many enthusiast enjoy is the lack of sunroof, no bump strips on sides and manual seats vs electric. The following is a partial list of work done/replaced and/or serviced: Entire fuel system cleaned New fuel linesNew fuel pumpNew fuel filterFuel distributor rebuiltWUR rebuiltNew hood strutsNew engine shocksNew gaskets everywhere except headsNew hosesNew beltsNew plugsNew plug wiresNew rotor and capNew injectorsNew Timing beltNew tensionerNew idler wheelsNew Water PumpAll new seals and/or gasketsNew inner and outer tie-rod endsRebuilt rear axlesNew C/V bootsRebuilt steering rackNew rack bootsNew sway bar bushingsNew Rad mount bushingsNew coilRad servicedTransaxle servicedall Fluids changed with newNew clutch including both clutch disks, pressure plate, thow-out bearing, pilot bearing, sleeve, castle washer, pivot bushing.New master brake cylinderNew Clutch Master cylinderNew Slave clutch cylinderNew brake pads all aroundRotors are next to newNew dash kitNew door lock knobsNew door key rosesNew interior carpet setNew-used headlight motorNew headlight switchNew wiring harness in engine bayNew tires- Cooper Zeon RS3-S 275/40/17 Rears and 245/45/17 fronts (less than 10 miles on them)New door skinsVarious new rubbers/plastic and trim pieces.2 keysFull set of (12) Factory shop manuals.Yellow headlights are only for looks and not road legal. I will include a normal set with car to the new owner. Car is in my opinion 90% fully restored. Reason for selling.... both my kids need braces! Disclamer: 1- Even though Clutch is brand new it still requires additional bleeding as there is still some air trapped in the master cylinder- this is common. Shifts fine, however, down shifting not so. 2- Muffler-original 3- Suspension is fine but my guess it is original- Car is high in front from being on jacks for so long-also common for the front to take a while to settle back down. Requires front alignment because of steering rack rebuild and tie-rods replaced. 4- Fuel/air or CO levels require fine adjustment- haven't found someone local that is skilled at this and I don't own proper gage. 5- This is an A/C car but condenser is missing ($200 new on Ebay) all plumping still in car and I have the pump which will go with car. Wire is there to hook up. 6- 2 small flaws in roof liner from age other wise interior is near perfect. My total cost into this 928 are somewhere around $26k not including any of my labour- about 900+ hrs I hate to see this car go but as they say my loss your gain. I do have an older appraisal of $23K which I will included along with an inch thick folder of receipts since that appraisal. All work done in the last year. Car is being sold as is where is with no warranty implied or expressed. I will aid with loading at my end. May not be able to pass California smog as some of the emissions where by-passed by previous owner. Thank you for looking....!

Hey everyone, you’re bidding on a classic, hard-to-find toy with low miles. It sat for a few years and just recently was pretty much overhauled into great working order. Almost the whole fuel system was redone and runs smooth. Yes, there’s going to be some body work needed for this thing, but mechanically, it’s awesome. Why am I getting rid of it? I’m heading to AZ for school and as much as I wanted to finish making this into a project, I just simply don’t have the time or money to. So, I got it over to a guy who worked for Porsche for over 30 years, has his own shop, as well as a 928 himself, and had him go over everything to get it back into great working order. That, he did. Here’s a list of what was replaced, repaired, etc. There’s a lot of little details with things as well, I’m just going to list the major stuff and if you have more questions, of course you can ask. I’ll even include his invoice to show everything he did. Fuel tank (Genuine Porsche) Ignition switch Steering column (genuine Porsche) Bosch Battery Fuel pump (genuine Porsche) Fuel filter & sending unit Fuel hoses NGK spark plugs Air filter A bunch of covers, seals/gaskets were also replaced. Just prior to getting the car to my Porsche guy, there were a few other things done as well: Brake Master Cylinder New brake lines New brake pads The only things I’ve found that needed attention are the passenger side window track (when you put it down, it slides off the track so it stays down. Just needs to be capped), the A/C will probably need a recharge, mounting well for the battery, and various cosmetic things, dashboard, seats, body. Like I said, I had big plans for this guy but I just can’t do it now and I don’t want it to sit here doing nothing. Runs, shifts, and idles great, still feels smooth when driving and turning, definitely feel connected to the road. Currently titled in NJ. Reserve price is set & will not go lower. I’m not going to lose out on the value of this car or the work that was done to it. If you’re a 928 enthusiast, this may be a great addition to your collection with only a few more bucks to get it perfect again. If you want to offer me something, then go for it, but if you're trying to lowball me, I'll ignore you. Feel free to ask questions, deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours, the rest is due prior to taking delivery. I will help you out with shipping otherwise, it’s up to you to pick up. Ask whatever questions you have. Thanks & wish you well. On Jan-14-17 at 16:47:28 PST, seller added the following information: I've been asked several times now: As for the repairs, there was over $5500 worth of work done as I itemized above. Ergo, the reserve price will be around that. If you're looking to make an offer around that and end this quickly, go for it, I'll entertain your offer. Thanks
