Hello I am selling a very rare Mazda GLC 'Sport' hatchback with a rotary engine swap utilizing a Racing Beat Holley carburetor + manifold. The Mileage indicated on the odometer is the mileage run since the rotary engine was installed. It was smoged recently before the swap so it wont require another smog if you register it soon enough after this auction ends. The car is very fun to drive (estimated 120 wheel horsepower in a sub 1 ton car is plenty quick) and ready to run on the racetrack. This engine swap is NOT LEGAL for road use in California unless you are willing to run an OEM Mazda 12A carburetor with all related emissions equipment and get it BAR'd and ref'd for CARB exemption. Mostly everything on this car still works remarkably well, but there's a few little things left to fix. Passenger door needs an exterior door lock cylinder. The rear hatch key lock does not work you have to use the interior button to open the rear hatch. The rear pop out window latches are broken and the latches are kept in the shut position with zip ties but you can retrofit different latches or try and repair the originals I didn't loose all the parts. The heater does not work (heater core is probably clogged) and the blend door inside the dash needs adjustment because when you open the manual vents to let fresh air in through the dash it makes a slight rattle sound at freeway speeds. The exhaust system has some scrapes but it is custom made to hug the undercarriage as tightly as possible for ground clearance. The transmission and differential were designed to have perfect alignment at this lowered right height to minimize wear on the driveshaft u-joints. The suspension likewise has roll-center adjusters to maintain proper angles and prevent bump-steer. The Tokico Illumina shock inserts in the front need replacement but those are still readily available. I did my best to be thorough with my descriptions but a project this unique isn't easy to summarize. I am happy to answer any questions. ENGINE RX3 12A COMPLETE REBUILT RUNNING ENGINE- Rebuilt Racing Beat Holley Carburetor+Manifold- Late year 12A Magnetic pickup Distributor- MSD Blaster 2 Coils- Racing Beat Air Cleaner (slightly modified to clear hood) with K&N Air filter - Modified Motor Mounts to allow engine to sit lower with Polyurethane bushingsThis engine runs very strong! Starts every time, does not smoke, does not leak, does not flood, puts out 130psi on compression test on both rotors. The Carburetor could use a little more fine tuning, but it comes with extra parts, gaskets, and several sets of different jets. Currently setup with a manual choke. COOLING - Aluminum Radiator- Electric Fan- High Flow Thermostat FUEL DELIVERY - Carter P4070 Electric Fuel Pump- Holley Fuel Pressure Regulator- Russel AN-Fittings- Marshal Fuel Pressure Gauge EXHAUSTCustom 12A Header w/V-Band flanges + 2.5" Custom single exit exhaust system w/ dual Borla Mufflers. TRANSMISSION + Shifter 83 Mazda RX7 5 speed Transmission with a modified shift housing and shifter to sit in the factory GLC shifter location. It also has a custom transmission mount. The transmission is making clacking/clanking noises during shifting but still shifts fine. Currently has Redline MT-90 gear oil in it. FRONT SUBFRAME + STEERING PARTSRX3 Front Subframe, Manual Steering Box, Lower Control Arms, swaybar, Tie Rods, Etc. (Less than 1,000 miles use) Wheels have bends/curb rash, could use a refurbishment, but they hold air fine and balance fine.
