To start with, let me first say that I am listing this ’73 Challenger 340 for a well-known classic and muscle car dealership and in doing so, I will be acting as an agent for this dealership. The owner, who is a friend and someone that I have known for over 20 years, founded his dealership in 1996 and has been a veteran of the car business for over 30 years. All of his vehicles are chosen for the highest standards and quality. A careful and complete analysis is done on every one before they offered for sale. Let me also say that I understand that there is a lot of information in my ad. I also understand that this may be boring to the person who is just looking and not buying. However, for the person who is looking to buy and spend their hard earned money, I feel that there is never too much information. As to myself, I am not a dealer, just a (66) year old kid that loves muscle cars. For my work, I am retired from managing a Correctional Facility here in Maine and had worked for the Maine Department of Corrections for (40) years. I am also a respected member of my community. I mention this only because of the value of this car and so that prospective buyers will have some idea as to who they are dealing with. Also, please check out my eBay feedback as I have only one negative feedback which I believe I should not have received but you be the judge. Many of those transactions have been muscle cars which I have sold to individuals all over the country as well as Canada, England, France, Switzerland and Australia. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS ARE WELCOME WITH A DOWN PAYMENT VIA PAYPAL AND THE BALANCE VIA WIRE TRANSFER ONLY. Just a little history on the Dodge Challenger: The Challenger project was first started in about 1965 as Dodge's answer to the pony car. Stylist Carl Cameron refined the car for some time, and, by 1968, they were building 1970 Challenger prototypes. Dodge was the last one to the pony car party, but it spent its time wisely, perfecting its entry, the Challenger. The Challenger debuted with an engine lineup that ranged from a docile slant six to the powerful 440 Six Barrel and the awesome 426 Hemi. Other pony cars could only dream of a line up like that. The Dodge Challenger was based on the Plymouth Barracuda platform, but its wheelbase was stretched by two inches to provide more interior room. The Challenger was offered in both hardtop and convertible versions. Performance versions wore the R/T (Road/Track) badge and either the base or R/T model could be ordered with the SE luxury package. But Dodge had one more trick up its sleeve. In order to race in the Sports Car Club of America's Trans American Sedan Championship, it built a street version of its race car which it called the Dodge Challenger T/A (Trans Am). By 1972, the convertible version and all the big-block engine options were gone. Maximum power was also downgraded to 240 horsepower to reflect the more accurate Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) net hp calculations. The 1972 models also received a new grille that extended beneath the front bumper. The 1973 models were no longer available with a six-cylinder engine. For 1974, the 340 cu in engine was replaced by a 360 cu in version, but the pony car market had deteriorated and production of Challengers ceased in mid 1974. Enough for the history lesson. Now on to this rare and beautiful 1973 (TX9) black Challenger 340ci 4-speed. Picture yourself behind the wheel of this 1973 Dodge Challenger Rally, restored from the ground up. This Mopar E-body has been with the same owner for the past 26 years. Factory color scheme TX-9 black with white strobe stripe and brilliant bright white interior. Powered by a numbers matching 340ci 4BBL, pistol grip, 4-speed and 8¾ rear with 3:55 sure grip. This cars exterior body and paint are in fantastic condition. Not to mention, once you’re behind the wheel you'll feel like you have been transported back to 1973 and your youth again. Definitely looks and performs like you want it to. Comes with owner history, original fender tag and original broadcast sheet. If you've been searching for a beautiful E-body Challenger, you'll want to take a closer at this very attractive eye catching car. Truly, it stops people in their tracks, everywhere you go! Two thumbs up on this investment quality E-body Mopar! What does all of this all add up to? I say Mopar Heaven for the new owner. To start with, let me first say that I am listing this ’69½ Dodge M-Code Super Bee for a well-known classic and muscle car dealership and in doing so, I will be acting as an agent for this dealership. The owner, who is a friend and someone that I have known for over 20 years, founded his dealership in 1996 and has been a veteran of the car business for over 30 years. All of his vehicles are chosen for the highest standards and quality. A careful and complete analysis is done on every one before they offered for sale. If you want an honest and complete description via telephone, please feel free to call Roland at 603-361-3693. As an FYI, the Super Bee is located in Manchester, New Hampshire just 15 miles from the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. I understand that there is a lot of information in my ad. I also understand that this may be boring to the person who is just looking and not buying. However, for the person who is looking to buy and spend their hard earned money, I feel that there is never too much information. As to myself, I am not a dealer, just a (65) year old kid that loves muscle cars. For my work, I am retired from managing a Correctional Facility here in Maine and had worked for the Maine Department of Corrections for (40) years. I am also a respected member of my community. I mention this only because of the value of this car and so that prospective buyers will have some idea as to who they are dealing with. Also, please check out my eBay feedback which is 100% with (1,139) transactions. Many of those have been muscle cars which I have sold to individuals all over the country as well as Canada, England, France, Switzerland and Australia. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS ARE WELCOME WITH A DOWN PAYMENT VIA PAYPAL AND THE BALANCE VIA WIRE TRANSFER ONLY. Some History: Just some quick history on the Super Bee. GM divisions had been doing it for years, but it wasn't until 1968 that the two MOPAR divisions, Dodge and Plymouth, began to engage in a bit of sibling rivalry. The result was the Dodge Super Bee, a direct competitor to Plymouth's Road Runner. Although a capable budget muscle car, it never was as successful as the Road Runner, which truly must have hurt. Dodge watched as Plymouth launched their budget muscle car, the Road Runner, in the fall of 1967 as a 1968 model. Already upset that Dodge had coined the "road runner" name in a 1967 Coronet ad, Dodge responded by launching its own budget muscle car. Based on the redesigned Dodge Coronet pillared coupe, Dodge looked to its Scat Pack symbol and released its new model in the spring of 1968 as the Super Bee. The $3,027 base price was $131 more than the Road Runner, which used the same basic chassis. Curb weight was nearly identical, and both used the same engines, so performance was almost identical. The standard engine was the 335hp four barrel 383 cid V8 that borrowed cylinder heads, camshaft and induction system from the Magnum 440. The 426 Hemi was the only engine option, but at nearly $1,000 more, it clashed with the budget nature of the Super Bee and only 125 were ordered. The low price meant minimizing amenities, and although the Super Bee borrowed the Rallye gauge package from the Charger to edge out the Road Runner, a tachometer was still a $38 extra. A heavy duty suspension, brakes, four-speed manual transmission with Hurst Competition Plus shifter, and red-line wide oval tires were standard. The low price didn't mean low profile, and the Super Bee had bumble bee racing stripes circling the tail, and a big Super Bee emblem hovering on the rear fenders. The grille was finished in black matte and the hood had a decorative power bulge. The wheel lips and the rear body panel were accented with thin bright moldings. Inside, the Super Bee had door-to-door carpeting, pleated vinyl seats and door panels, and a standard bench seat. The big news for MOPAR muscle car fans in 1969 was a new optional engine in several cars, including the Super Bee. MOPAR engineers took the existing 440 cid V8 and replaced the single Carter four barrel carb with three Holley two-barrel carbs on an Edelbrock Hi-Riser manifold, creating the Dodge 440 Six Pack (Plymouth called it the 440+6). Only the center carb was used for normal driving, but slamming on the fun pedal opened all six carbs for a combined 1,375 cfm rush. Hemi valve springs, a hotter cam, magnafluxed connecting rods, and other improvements helped boost output to 390 bhp. A Hurst four speed manual transmission was standard. Torqueflite automatic was optional, but disc brakes, air conditioning, and cruise control were not allowed. The Super Bee Six Pack came with one of the wilder hoods in muscledoom. The lift off hood was made of fiberglass, had a matte black finish, four NASCAR tie down pins, and a large air scoop molded right in with Six Pack written on the sides. The all business look was completed with standard black steel wheels, unadorned except for chrome lug nuts. The 440 Six Pack was a $463 option in 1969, and 1,907 were produced. The Six Pack could keep up with a Hemi up to 70 mph and came with a Hemi grade suspension that turned the Super Bee into a decent handler. So let’s get right to this rare Six-Pack Super Bee that I am auctioning here today on eBay Motors. Here is what my Super Bee has: · Original Broadcast Sheet; · Original and Decoded Body Tag; · VIN Stamped on Radiator Support; · Correct Replacement Block; · Original 4.10 Dana Rear Axle; · Rust Free Body; · Real R4 Bright Red Car; · A12 Engine Conversion Package. Restored in 2000 from the ground up, by a retired teacher from northern Maine who has a passion for Mopars. He meticulously restored this rare Dodge while maintaining its factory appearance with no modifications. It has only been driven approximately 800 miles since the restoration. 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A lime green driver up for sale . Car can be driven as is or restored which ever you prefer. Really rare opportunity to get into a rare real lime green Challenger T/A for cheap. Drive it around and fix it up as you drive. Car is reasonably solid shape, needs patches in lower quarters, some floor pan work should also be done, and trunk pan. Really not that bad. I am relisting this beautiful '71 Super Bee with a Buy-it-Now, Make-an-Offer format. In the previous listing, there were 4,122 hits and 144 people watching the auction. That is a very good indication that the interest is there and Mopars are coming back as a muscle car favorite as well as a great investment. The reserve was nearly met in the previous listing so I am in hopes that someone who wants a beautiful muscle car, will pull the trigger and purchase this 4-speed classic. To start with, let me first say that I am listing this ’71 Dodge Charger Super Bee for a well-known classic and muscle car dealership and in doing so, I will be acting as an agent for this dealership. The owner, who is a friend and someone that I have known for over 20 years, founded his dealership in 1996 and has been a veteran of the car business for over 30 years. All of his vehicles are chosen for the highest standards and quality. A careful and complete analysis is done on every one before they offered for sale. I do understand that there is a lot of information in my ad. Just some quick history on the Super Bee. The standard engine was the 335 bhp four barrel 383 cid V8 that borrowed cylinder heads, camshaft and induction system from the Magnum 440. The aging Coronet's body style was given a face lift for 1970. The front fenders were sloped down more at the ends, and the hood featured a NASA inspired integrated hood scoop on the standard set up that flowed down into a center peak separating a twin front bumper arrangement. A Super Bee medallion was used between the grilles on the hood. The Ram-Charger hood with its twin hood scoops were carried over to the new hood as an option. The cards of marketing were reshuffled for 1971. The Coronet name it felt was too closely tied with the image of grocery getters and mom and dad. Thus all four-door mid-sized Dodges would be known as Coronets, while all two-door intermediate Dodge models would be known as Chargers. The Charger would be restyle to meet these demands with long flowing lines that took some of the race car look away from it. The reshuffle of nameplates also brought the seeming death to the Coronet R/T and the Super Bee. However, it was only half right. The R/T was never a true contender on the marketing field, so it was killed while the Super Bee was given one more year to prove itself. Be the fates of soaring insurance rates and government regulations only place the Super Bee on life support, as this would be its last year of production. Production for the 1971 WM23N 383ci 2-Door Hardtops: 3,858 Total 1971 WM23N 383ci 2-Door Hardtop 4-Speed Super Bees Produced: 766 Production at 6.9% of 1971 4-Speed Super Bees Painted EL5 Hi-Impact Butterscotch: 53 (Please understand that 53 is an extrapolation number and should not be considered as gospel.) The components under the hood are correct for the car. There were no non-original reproduction parts under the hood of this really unique 1971 Charger Super Bee. To start with, let me first say that I am listing this ’71 Challenger Convertible for a well-known classic and muscle car dealership and in doing so, I will be acting as an agent for this dealership. The owner, who is a friend and someone that I have known for over 20 years, founded his dealership in 1996 and has been a veteran of the car business for over 30 years. All of his vehicles are chosen for the highest standards and quality. A careful and complete analysis is done on every one before they offered for sale. As to myself, I am just a (65) year old kid that loves muscle cars. For my work, I recently retired from managing a Correctional Facility here in Maine and had worked for the Maine Department of Corrections for (40) years. I am also a respected member of my community. I mention this only because of the value of this car and so that prospective buyers will have some idea as to who they are dealing with. Even though this is not my own personal car, I will always strive to maintain my reputation as an honest and reputable seller. Also, please check out my eBay feedback which is 100% with (1,134) transactions. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS ARE WELCOME WITH A DOWN PAYMENT VIA PAYPAL AND THE BALANCE VIA WIRE TRANSFER ONLY. I ALSO HAVE INTERNATIONAL BUYER REFERENCES FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO CHECK. Now on to this rare and beautiful 1971 Triple Black Challenger Convertible. The 340-4BBL engine option was considered the small block high performance version in the Mopar line up in the early 70s. The car had plenty of performance and good fuel economy. This particular Challenger’s chrome bumpers, trim, bright work and stainless are considered extremely nice. The black convertible top still shows excellent. The front grille, rear tail light panel and bezels are super nice and still retain their factory original argent silver finish. The lower stone shield is also finished in argent silver. The Challenger’s interior is excellent with new seat covers, restored dash pad (from Just Dashes) and new carpet. She still retains the original door panels and factory am radio. It does come with custom embroidered Challenger floor mats. It has a very nice and clean walnut wood wheel with no cracks. The power top works fine and the Challenger does come with the original black convertible top boot. The underside of the Challenger has a light factory under coating with original floor pans, torque boxes and trunk pan showing no signs of any rust or repair. Playing the muscle car sound is an OEM exhaust system with dual mufflers and dual resonators. Mechanically, the shocks, suspension and front end components are all in excellent condition. The only sheet metal that's been replaced, is on the passenger’s side where a full NOS quarter panel was professionally installed prior to the restoration. The car is in fantastic condition and the motor runs excellent with no smoke or issues. This particular Challenger is simply stunning and starts, runs and drives beautifully. The car is overall considered to be an excellent daily driver only needing minor detailing and clean up under the hood. Truly, a great investment and sure to increase in value over the next several years. I have no complaints about clones and reproductions as I have owned some nice ones myself. However, the wise buyer will always look to those rare muscle cars that have the right factory options and color scheme. What does all of this all add up to? I say Mopar Heaven for the new owner. Rarity: According to Galen Govier’s “Chrysler Corporation Production Option Code Book”, there were only: 41 ‘71 Dodge Challenger hardtops and convertibles produced with the 3-speed manual transmission. I have also read that there were: 1,857 Dodge Challenger convertibles produced in 1971. 29,883 Dodge Challenger total production in 1971. If you extrapolate those production figures you come up with; 6.2% of all 1971 Dodge Challengers were convertibles. 6.2% of 41 ‘71 Challenger hardtops and convertibles with the 3-speed manual transmission would be: 2.54 vehicles. Add in the fact that this is a real TX9 Challenger convertible and I think it is quite safe to say that: This particular 1971 triple black Dodge Challenger 3-speed convertible is a true: “one of one” collector car. Please remember, this is based on my extrapolation only and shoud not be considered as gospel.
