This car was purchased for my wife on 2/28/80 from Bill Whiten Datsun in Birmingham, AL. She has been the sole driver these past 36-1/2 years and the car has been garage kept and lovingly maintained. The odometer currently reads 92,454 miles. A major tune-up was performed less than 300 miles ago (92,195) by noted Fort Worth area Z-car specialist Rising Sun Performance located in Benbrook, TX. Items addressed in the tune-up include: •Oil and filter change•New spark plugs•New spark plug wires•New fuel filter•New air filter•New distributor cap and rotor•Valve clearance adjusted•Head bolt torque checked•New valve cover gasket•New coolant temperature sensor•New thermostat•Coolant changed out•Air flow metering adjusted/optimized•Timing adjusted•Brake lines flushed and refilled with new brake fluid•Installed a new rear differential snubber Other modifications/enhancements:•Replaced the factory radio/cassette player with a single din CD receiver•New battery installed on 5/7/15. This battery is warrantied until 5/7/20.•The air conditioning system was professionally converted to R134a on April 7, 2016 by AA Auto Air of Haltom City, TX. This included a complete blowout of the old R-12 mineral oil and replacement with PAG oil and installation of a new dryer.•New headliner installed April, 2016.•New fuel pump installed June 9, 2016. The car runs and drives as it should. Starts right up and burns no oil. The transmission upshifts and downshifts quickly without hesitation. Everything works. The tires have about 50% tread remaining. The interior is in great shape. Neither of the headlights in this car has ever burnt out so they are the original Koito units that came with the car when it left the factory in Japan. There is a rust bubble that has appeared in front of the right rear tire that you can see in the photo. These vehicles were produced before modern double-sided galvanized steel panels and rust preventive coatings and to have this little corrosion is somewhat remarkable. Included with the car are the original bill of sale, window sticker, owner’s manuals, repair manuals and special ZZ Top double “Z” keychain from their “Sharp Dressed Man” video that is attached to the key. Also included are any receipts I have for lifetime warrantied parts (brake pads, fuel pump, hatch lift cylinders, etc.) I’ve installed on the car. We are selling this car because we have no more room to park all of our vehicles on our property. So, some of our vehicles have to go if we intend to purchase anything else. I have another vehicle listed for sale here as well. I’ve attempted to describe the car as accurately as possible. Be mindful that this is not a “brand new, off the showroom floor” vehicle but one that was carefully driven and exceptionally well maintained over the years. As is common with vehicles this age, there is no warranty expressed or implied. If you have questions call me at (817) 688-7856 or just click the “Ask Seller A Question” button located on this page. I will accept cash, cashiers check (vehicle released upon clearing) or PayPal payments only. Not looking for any “trades”. Shipping or delivery of the car will occur after payment has been received. I will express mail the title to any out of state buyers and deliver the car to your shipper at a pre-determined location in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Buyer will pay all shipping cost. International shipping is not available. This vehicle is also being offered locally so I reserve the right to cancel this listing should it sell.

Hello Z's lovers out there; I hate to do what I'm doing right now, but I don't have any other choice. We ran in to some financial issue and want to sell one of my favorite lovely toy. She is 1971 Datsun 240z with 280z engine. Previous owner (92 years old) bought it new from Fresno dealer in 1971 and drove it until late 90' and decided to swapped out original engine with brand new 280z ordered from Japan. During that time he modified body to race car looks (as you see) and repaint areas that he custom build body to original color. This car is 100% original excepts outside paint at the front and spoiler, rims, 280z engine, and 2 seats; 2 original seat look almost new and will go with the car. I have all maintenance records for this car from the first day that she got out dealer til today. There is NO RUST at all and she looks almost like a new car.I'm locating in Round Rock-Texas-78665. Please contact me if you have any questions. This is one of the best 240z in the country. Please come in and see her; she looks better than pictures. If you're out of states, please ensure bring someone to inspect her before buying. There will be $500 deposit through Paypal in 24 hours after you win the bid. The rest of the fund will be pay in pull with in 7 days and I only accept bank check (cashier check). I can help with arrange/schedule for shipping, but you have to pay for that.

In 2003, it was shipped to Texas for the rest of the family to enjoy. A good amount of preventative maintenance has performed on this 280ZX GL Coupe over the past year. Of which includes: New brake master cylinder, new brake lines, pads, rotors (all around), new wheel bearings, MAF, Cyl Head temp sensor, new spark plugs, ignition cap & rotor, new O2 sensor, new tires (not even 40 miles on them, installed July of 2016) The gearbox was replaced several years ago as the original one had worn out, as well as some leaky injectors. The stock exhaust was replaced with a muffler from MotorsportZ (sounds very good)! KYB struts were installed about 10 years ago, along with a headliner previously. If you are looking for a unmolested, survivor Datsun 280ZX, you would be hard pressed to find a nicer one! The overall look, feel, and drive quality of this 280ZX is comparable to that of a 10 year old car with 50k miles! It is truly a pleasure to drive, and it has cold A/C! :)Call or Text Spencer Heitman for more information at 214-893-3976. With years of dealership management and ownership interest, customer satisfaction and long term relationships have been paramount as an end result. As an automotive racing enthusiast active in Vintage road racing and SCCA GT-1, your passion and love of auto sports is understood and shared. Clients and resources both nationally and internationally give me the ability to search, secure, consign, and consult whether you are looking for exotics, sports cars, race cars, or luxury cars. The industry relationships I have built throughout my career give me the ability to give clients a complete customer experience ranging from acquisition, transportation, finance, warranties, or any other aspect of automobile ownership that might be needed. Please let me know how the team at Dallas Motorsports and I can assist with any aspect of your vehicle needs. Jonathan Peck, Business Manager I can remember, as a kid, riding around the Dallas area with my Dad in one of his many Porsches naming off the year, make, and model of “any” cool car we saw. That fueled my obsession with cars very early in life. Cars were my passion long before they became a business for me. My career in the automobile industry started just out of high school working in the Parts Department of Reliable Chevrolet and although I swore I would never sell cars for a living, I eventually gave in and decided to give it a try. My sales career began in the Automobile Leasing business. The contacts I met there gave me the opportunity to take a Sales position with the local Lamborghini franchise. The relationships I built over the next decade have since grown into many long term friendships with people all across the United States and abroad. Did I mention that selling exotics is the ULTIMATE job a car guy could ever ask for!! Turning your passion into a business is something that few people get to experience and I am fortunate to have been given that opportunity. Shell is great for someone with a rusted body looking to transfer as it is very clean. Currently in primer. It will need a nes hood or to have current hood fixed as it has a few rust spots, not unfixable though. Car was setup for v8 swap and has fuel cell installed, coilovers on all 4 corners, shaved engine bay ( battery tray removed). I have the interior for the car I am missing one a pillar trim piece. Dash work was started for removing the side ac vents since roll cage and vintage air was going into the car. This isn't a 2k z so don't ask. If its your first z you won't understand the cost of Zs and why the body is so important as you will almost always pay more to bring the body back to life than the car itself. Rear spoiler is shown in pictures but not included with car. Car has 2 spots left that need to be addressed. I was just going to grind that out and prep with por15 as that is covered by door seal. No need to waste 100 getting that cut and replaced. Underneath the car is nice and clean (dusty as its in storage) Video: Underneath. https://youtu.be/ZlAWtCVXYCo Walk around. https://youtu.be/YKHwfF0BaM4 Feel free to call or text 2817047534 Kevin

With great handling and a balanced chassis, this 1982 Datsun 280ZX 2+2 provides a low-cost way into a pretty capable sports car that can still put a big grin on the driver's face. By looking at this car, you'd never really know that it has already passed its 30th birthday. Thanks to the bright silver color, which we believe is its original paint, it still looks sleek and contemporary and not nearly as dated as some of the other cars built in the early '80s. Typical of Japanese manufacturers of the period, build quality is quite good with sharp gaps and pieces that fit properly, and the paint job is holding up rather well, suggesting great care since it was new. Without stripes or add-ons like a rear wing, the car retains the clean look of the original Z-car, which itself was often compared to the E-Type Jaguar; heady company indeed. The bumpers are well-integrated into the overall design and black body side moldings add some contrast as well as being practical. The black anodized trim and rubber pieces strongly suggest a car that has always been well-maintained and kept out of the elements, and even the taillights are still bright and clear. The gray cloth interior shows a few hints of 1980s sensibility, but the bucket seats remain supremely comfortable for long hauls and supportive for aggressive maneuvers. No rips or tears in the seating surfaces are another sign of careful ownership and the original carpets remain in good shape thanks to the protection of matching embroidered floor mats. Instrumentation is traditional Z, with a big speedometer and tach for the driver and auxiliary gauges in the center of the dash, a look that still shows up in today's 370Z. Just about everything was standard on the 280ZX, including A/C, power windows, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo that was still pretty cutting-edge in 1982. The 2+2 models offered a modest rear seat that's good for kids or adults on short trips, and there's a good amount of storage space under the rear hatch, which also offers a full set of gray carpets that are in remarkable condition. The 2.8 liter inline-six provides silky smooth torque and a rorty sound that is definitely reminiscent of great sports cars from Europe. Thanks to fuel injection, it starts easily and pulls smoothly without getting fussy, and despite the complex-looking engine bay, these cars are rather easy to work on and parts are still plentiful. There are no obvious modifications and it drives like a stocker, so someone has definitely taken care of it along the way and the clean look speaks highly of the dedicated maintenance it has enjoyed. A 3-speed automatic transmission makes it easy for anyone to drive and doesn't dilute the experience one bit, as the suspension still grabs in corners and has a playful, tossable nature that only rear-wheel-drive sports cars can manage. Big disc brakes, a burly exhaust note, and handsome 6-spoke alloys with 195/70/14 Michelin radials all contribute to the entertainment factor. The day is surely coming when good Z-cars will make the A-list, but in the meantime, you'll be having too much fun behind the wheel to worry about it. This 1977 Datsun 280Z is a survivor (not restored) that had been in storage for over 20 year before I purchased it. The interior and exterior are all immaculate with no rust, cracks in the dashboard or leather seats. Even the radio works! There are only minor scratched and oxidation from regular wear and tear. The car is well maintained, 100% drive-able, and has a new radiator, alternator, clutch fan, and struts. I also have the records for all service done to the car. I rode a motorcycle most of college and drove the car when it got cold. I worked with several experts with the intention of restoring the car but decided I couldn't give it the love and car it needs. I believe there are very few of these cars left especially in this condition. If you have any questions about the car please let me know. M

In-Line 4 Cylinder L16 Engine 4-Speed Manual Transmission Rear Wheel Drive!A truck like this is a collector's dream. It only has 80000 miles and is in incredible condition. We've even got some service records to prove it. Nissan made a bold move back in the day with the Datsun Truck. It is said that most Americans that owned a truck like this in the 70s didn't even actually use it as a work truck. Which given how well-kept the truck is, I can believe it. And just like back in the 70s, you don't plan on using it as a work truck either. It's a pickup that looks bad ass just sitting there. Drive it on the road and get the oohs and ahhs of those that get it. This 1972 Datsun 1600 is simply cool. Everything still works. It still drives great; picks up speed well, transitions great, and is going to honestly provide you with such a fun ride. Whether you owned one in 72, had this as your first truck, or wished it was your first truck, it will satisfy all. A clean and clear Carfax Vehicle History Report is important to you. Fuel cell in place, coil overs on all 4 corners, big brake upgrade for front desk, complete original interior, new bushings everywhere. Car will need a new hood prior to paint. Also comes with front air dam new in box from MSA. Work was started on dash to cover the side vents so that vintage air unit would blow from center only. Vintage air unit not part of the listing. The VQ motor is out of a 2007 NISMO 350z that had 22k miles. I personally drove the car and verified the miles prior to pulling. I pulled the motor as well and the harness is complete, the only wire that was cut goes to the brake controller. Also have the drive by wire gas pedal and the ignition with original key. Transmission is still connected to motor. All accessories are also still on the motor. McKinney motor sports sells the items needed for the swap (Drive shaft, engine mount, trans mount and shifter relocating bracket) for 1800. I kept the wiring harness complete so that I could use the existing NATS on the car. I would prefer a project I will be able to enjoy with both of my kids when wife's not around. Will consider trades 2 doors with 4/5 seats, No 4 door, nothing past 1986 and no rust buckets. Rolling chassis are welcomed if its the right one 55/56/57 no post rollers, nomad, hudson hornet, pontiac safari wagon and so on are welcome. I like classics a lot. I've done a lot of Zs and this was going to be my favorite one of all, but have to be practical at some point. I still have the donor car I pulled the motor from so if there is any other part you think you may need off of the car feel free to let me know. Shipping will require a shipper who will crate the motor and trans for you. Calls are welcomed 281-704-7534 Kevin

1969 Datsun 2000 Roadster Was placed on storage running and left there for about 15+ years. Second black roadster included on price as donor car (Incomplete. 65% body 50% drive train, maybe less) Right front fender already replaced, original wreck fender still available and more than likely repairable. No visible signs of rust. Original paint. 4 new tires were bought and install before placed in storage, full tread, will inflate to try to roll out. I have titles to both vehicles. If no interest from serious buyers, might get it out of storage and start working on detailing it and re-start it to bring to drivable conditions. Then 2 things will occur: 1.- Price will go up if decide to relist. (Donor may not be included) 2.- Will keep it. Feel free to ask me about more details. KEEP IN MIND, if you get quotes for shipping you need to make sure both cars are being considered.
