This is a rare case of a buick muscle car.the only power option ordered on this car is power brakes.this car is one of 422 4speed G.S. convertibles made in 1967it has undergone a complete frame off resto. with the frame powdercoated, along with the core support.frt, fender liners and crossmember.it shows and functions like a 32k car.numbers matching engine was professionally rebuilt to fact.specs and runs extremely strong,it has to my knowledge the original 329 open ended rear diff. with an date coded muncie 4 speed.when this car was purchased by me it had been stranded in a closed body shop for some years and was stripped down to bare metal and was so dry it never even had surface rust on body and had no rust holes in any metal.every suspension component has been replaced incl.rear boxed control arms and rear sway bar.this car has a new power top that operates as it should. This buick also has its original power drum brakes incl.frt.aluminum drums and another one of a kind touch the original starwars style air cleaner. ...............1970 Buick Skylark GS 455 factory 4 speed with a/c & 1970 Skylark Custom Convertible with the SP 350 engine option.............I'm moving next spring and have decided to sell off these two rare projects. And projects they truely are !!! ....what a great package deal !! The first car is a big block 4 speed GS from 1970. I've got the build sheet and it shows it came with a M20 transmission and also came with air conditioning. It is a factory Sherwood Green car with Pearl White interior. The engine is rebuilt and has never been started. The heads have been upgraded to Stage I specs. Camshaft is called a Hemi Killer ...double roller timing chain set and some upgrades to the oiling system ...we didn't have to bore it out so it has the stock pistons in it. There is a pair of old school aluminum finned Edelbrock valve covers covering the stock rocker arms. Also equipped with an aluminum Edelbrock Performer intake manifold. I've got a set of used chrome headers that go with the car also...The seats have been reupholstered and look real good. I had the chrome pieces replaced also. I have new door panels and rear panels. The air cleaner assembly is in great shape. The car comes with a complete exhaust system (stainless steel 2 1/2 inch pipe) ....also have a 10 bolt posi rearend with new Detroit Locker and 3:55 Richmond gears ...the original 3:42 rearend is still on the car ...flywheel was machined years ago and has just been sitting ...Muncie transmission is bolted to engine and both are just laying in the engine compartment. I have a Hurst shifter also. I've got some good tail lights too...both bumpers are in pretty good shape..the grille is in good shape with some scuffs at the bottom of it. I believe the right front fender to be original to the car. The left fender is off of a parts car of mine. I've got some black carpeting for the car that was installed new in another GS but removed and it is in good shape. Also a roll of sound deadner. The front suspension is new but not together at this time. This car was built in California and shipped to Utah. I don't think this car has ever seen salt. The undercarriage is in great shape. If you have interest your best bet is to call me and ask questions ......my number is 719-217-8224 ....this car has been in the garage for almost 7 years now and will take me a few to get the suspension back on so as to make it a roller for whomever picks it up .... The Buick convertable is equipped with the SP 350 motor (GS engine) 315 horsepower high compression motor. It runs good but this car has been sitting for some time so a tune up might be in order. the automatic transmission shifts in reverse but there are no forward gears. I've got a receipt showing the transmission to have been rebuilt recently. The previous owner told me he added some fluid and it quit working. For now figure it has no foward gears. I do have a good used turbo 350 and may possibly get it installed before the sale of these two cars.... This car is equipped with power disc brakes, power windows, power top, posi rearend, tilt steering and air conditioning and also came with the SP code 350 High Compression motor. This car needs complete restoration. I have however, spent $10 on some Gorilla duct tape and taped the convertable top both outside and the underside. The top is equipped with a rear glass window. It looks like somebody cut the top with a knife. The car is from Illinois and does have some rust issues. Somebody did some cheesy work on the rear quarters. The frame has had some metal reinforcement welded to it near the front of the doors ....but it looks good....the floor has some rust through in a few spots...but not horrible !! The door lips are in good shape....and of course the front fenders are rusted where they all get it....the rocker panels are good....both bumpers are fairly straight but will need to be rechromed..the grille is all there but has cracks in it( it's plastic) ...tail lights are better then what one would expect ....If you need more info on the condition of the body best thing to do is contact me and I can tell you more over the phone ....719-217-8224.... The interior is in need of lots of work ...seats need to be reupholstered but the front power seat works... The dash is amazingly not cracked and the tilt steering seems to be tight. Both door panels are crap !Both rear inner panels are crap! All the power windows work but you have to push on the door panels to get them to work. The carpet is worn and will need to be replaced. If you have any questions about the interior just give me a call at 719-217-8224 ... The engine runs pretty good ....it does have an exhaust leak on the passenger side front and I believe is coming from the exhaust manifold....noticed two extras laying in the trunk. This car is also equipped with a posi rearend (I don't know the gear ratio but guessing 3:42)...The dual exhaust is in pretty good shape but isn't aluminum or stainless steel. The brakes are not the best but they work....looks like the brake lines have been replaced. The power steering works. Any questions just contact me at 719-217-8224

Up for sale is my 1969 Buick GS400. It is a mostly original (except for paint) numbers matching true base GS400 with a Super Turbine 400 3 speed automatic transmission. It has the original interior. It originally came with a column shift and bucket seats but the previous owner installed a tilt column and console. It was my intention to return it to original but never got around to it. It has a factory AM radio with power antenna (a dealer installed option, verified by the original window sticker). The radio does not work, but the antenna does. It has a dash clock but that is not functional as well. The air conditioning works but has a leak. I can charge it at the beginning of the season and it will work great for a week, then get lukewarm for the rest of the summer. The car includes documentation including original window sticker, owners manual, bill of sale, Protect-O-Plate, and a pile of receipts for work done by previous owners. As near as I can tell, I am the 9th owner. Things that have been changed from original: Installation of tilt column and floor shift/console by previous owner. Swapping of original front power drum brakes to power disc brakes by me for safety reasons. I still have the original drums and backing plates which are included with the car. Original front and rear control arms were swapped out with another set that were equipped with poly bushings at the same time as the brakes. Springs were swapped out as well with NPD heavy duty springs for a small block 1969 Chevelle. As a result the front sits about a half inch lower due to the extra weight of the 400 but I like the rake. It does cause the front tires to rub in a turn. Original wheels and tires were swapped out with 15" Corvette rallies, also from a 69 Chevelle (I basically swapped in all the running gear from my 69 when I took it down for a resto. I'm going pro touring on that and so am buying all new stuff. Whatever original parts I still have for the GS are included in the sale). The rally wheels are period correct and were available as an option, although they would have been painted black and these are Argent Silver. I swapped out the Chevy derby caps for Buick caps. I originally used repro caps but they were not very good and I lost one. I had used the original rally wheel center caps when I created them, and I still have three and they are included with the car. I still have the original 14" Buick rally wheels, and they are currently being used as rollers for another project, so if the buyer wants these wheels they will need to provide me with another set of rollers, or perhaps if the buyer has a decent set of 18" Boss 338s or something similar with tires, we can work out a deal/partial trade. Recent repairs (well, recent enough. This is probably everything I've done to it in the last 6 years): New water pump. New power steering hose. New paint (in 2010) New front/back brake line from Right Stuff New repro Delco Moraine brake booster A few new stickers here and there. new basic 2 1/2" aluminized exhaust with turbo mufflers from Summit. The ugly: The car is not perfect. It has a few things that need attention. It needs to have the bumpers rechromed and straightened. It has a chip and dent in the left fender from a jack handle that fell on it (and yes, I cussed like a sailor, a longshoreman, and a drunken archaeologist all at the same time when it happened), it needs some interior attention (dash bezel needs painting, AC vents need to be replaced or rechromed), it has oil leaking from the front seal on the oil pan that sprays all over the right side under the car. It probably needs to have all the vacuum lines replaced, too. The trunk floor needs to be spatter painted. It was rusty from the usual GM A-Body back window leak, and it has black SPI epoxy on it now. I fixed the leak with some liquid nails in the crack, but the car lives inside so it's not an issue. It's got some small rust areas. There was some under the vinyl top which was repaired when it was repainted 4 years ago. There is a small bit on the quarters just behind the rear wheel, on the underside. You have to get down and look up to see it, and maybe a nickle sized area on each side. There is also a quarter sized hole forming on the driver side floor pan. That's all I could find and isn't enough to worry about, at least for me. Also when they painted it they got overspray on the frame and exhaust. It will probably wipe off with lacquer thinner but I just haven't tried. The tires are good, but they are about 8 years old. You can see by the rear quarter panels that I have done my best to burn them off the car :-). Seriously though, it's not a quick car because has a 2.89 or some such rear end, maybe a 15 second quarter mile. I was getting high 9s in the 1/8 at the local track. The battery is 14 years old, but I did the epsom salts trick a couple years ago and it holds a charge just like new, and checks out good on a test. Included with the car: All parts that I still have from swaps/upgrades, nice California car cover (that is for a full-size GM, so it's kind of big, but hey I got a stellar deal), the original rally wheels as long as the buyer can provide me with a set of GM bolt pattern project rollers with tires, ALL the original documents that I have for the car, and I'll also throw in a couple cases of Parts Master/Wix oil filters. The car is available for viewing on weekends or possibly week days with enough notice. IMPORTANT TERMS AND CONDITIONS: 1. You are buying to own, not for the right to view the car or to negotiate a better price. The agreed upon price is the price I expect you to pay. 2. Payment must be by cash or bank wire. No Paypal, personal checks or bank checks accepted. 3. Buyer must send $500 non refundable deposit within 3 days of listing end. This can be sent via Paypal. 4. Please as any and all questions prior to listing end. I will do my best to answer them all. Additional photos:

ColorBlackInterior ColorBlackTitleClear Motorcar Investments 5641 Hillsborough StreetRaleigh, North Carolina919-851-4044 This is an Authentic Gran Sport Stage 1 car produced by Buick in very low numbers in 1970. The documentation is pictured here and will go with the car of course. The rare Stage 1 option consisted of a 455ci V8 with more aggressive camshaft, higher compression, unique cylinder heads with larger valves, a specially tuned 4 barrel Quadrajet carburetor, more aggressive ignition timing, 5/8 inch oil pickup tube and a higher numerical final drive, dual exhaust, performance axle with positive traction and more. This stage 1 was optioned with the firmer shifting Turbohydromatic 400. It was conservatively rated at 360 hp/510 lb/ft torque. All the options are listed on the documentation from the Buick GS Historical Society and shown below in photo presentation. The car is in pristine condition inside and out having gone through a full mechanical and cosmetic body off restoration. This is a numbers matching engine car with the "SS" production code stamped on the engine block proving it is an authentic Stage 1 car. It is highly collectible, and rarely found for sale. This beast runs and drives as good as it looks and will give you an unbelievable thrill when you step down on the accelerator!! Take this opportunity to own and drive a very special car that will continue to appreciate in value. Four separate photos were joined together to show you this complete view of the undercarriage. We have Classic Car financing available for qualified buyers! Financing options at very competitive rates for up to 10 years! Please inquire for more details! Continue scrolling down the page to see all of the photos of this show worthy Stage 1 & please note that any discoloration that you may think you see was from relections of the yellow lift arms and the bright halogen lamp underneath to illuminate the underside. This documentation from Wayne Roberts of The GS Historic Society verifies that is an AUTHENTIC Buick GS Stage 1 The original color is Burnished Saddle, but when it was restored, it was finshed in a more popular Regal Black Watch the video on this GS below and then Click here to visit Motorcar Investments! LExterior ColorBlackInterior ColorBlackTitleClearThis is an Authentic Gran Sport Stage 1 car produced by Buick in very low numbers in 1970. In the early 1970s, when muscle was fading away due to regulations and gas prices, car companies were working overtime to get people into the showrooms. The result of one team\'s labor was the Buick Sun Coupe, a Skylark with a giant canvas sunroof designed and installed by the American Sun Roof Corporation. Only 3943 were built in 1972, making them some of the rarest of all Skylarks and a wonderful car to drive today. What better choice for your Sun Coupe than code 56 Sunburst Yellow paint? With a GS-style rear spoiler and the black top, this rare Buick takes on a performance attitude that isn\'t just for show. It\'s possible that the paint is original, but given the presentation as well as the hardware upgrades, it\'s obvious that this car was owned by someone who knew what he wanted. Paint is still quite nice, panel gaps are even, and the car just looks right the way it sits today. And, of course, there\'s that big sunroof, which has been fully restored. It slides easily, the canvas is in great shape, and despite what you might think, it seals up quite well. The open-air experience it offers transforms the coupe, and you probably won\'t get tired of being the center of attention every time you peel it open. Inside, the Skylark was still stylish, comfortable, and most of all, a Buick which means goodies like factory A/C are part of the deal. That means luxury and performance in equal doses, although this one is packing some extra heat (more on that in a moment). The black buckets have been reskinned and look brand new, and the back seat has probably never seen any passengers since the build was completed. There\'s also a flat-out awesome center console (kudos on the artistic photography, guys) with the world\'s coolest shifter, and the polished shift plate glitters as the centerpiece of the entire passenger compartment. Crisp markings on the gauges mean they\'ve been rebuilt, and there are new carpets on the floor with matching mats. The trunk is neatly finished as well, offering a new mat with a correct spare tire cover. So about the upgrades. Well, under the hood you\'ll find a GS Stage 1-spec 455 cubic inch Buick V8, which is unquestionably the king of torque. The Dante Red paint on the block looks stock, but things like the Edelbrock intake and carb, the freshly ceramic-coated exhaust manifolds, and the open-element air cleaner mean it\'s dressed for combat. Stock-style chrome valve covers add some flair, and there\'s a giant BeCool aluminum radiator up front keeping it all under control. A heavy-duty TH400 transmission handles the horsepower. Brakes are upgraded with slotted rotors and 4-piston calipers up front hiding behind a set of Torque Thrusts that look exactly right. Big power in a very cool package-no other A-body came close in \'72. Call today! This vehicle is not currently in one of our showrooms. Please set up an appointment to view this car in person. We all knew someone in our neighborhood with a car like this 1970 Buick Skylark. It was stashed away in the garage, peeking out as if to taunt us with its low mileage and clean living, and only came out on Sundays when the weather was nice. Today, it\'s an awesome survivor with just 60,740 original miles and just one owner, exactly like the one you always dreamed of. In 1970, the Skylark was a lot of things to a lot of people, ranging from affordable commuter to fire-breathing muscle car. This handsome hardtop fits in the middle, with V8 muscle wrapped in luxurious trim and classic A-body good looks. The code 68 Burnished Saddle paint was refreshed not too long ago and looks fantastic today, just about right for the period with a great shine. As a low-mileage car that spent its life in a garage, it hasn\'t been patched together from a rusty hulk and the way the doors open and close remind us why survivors are so special. Gaps are good, detailing is crisp, and all the factory emblems and trim pieces remain in place, so it has an authentic look. Big chrome bumpers are undoubtedly original and speak to how nicely maintained this car really is, and the tan vinyl top fits well, doesn\'t have any major popped seams or discoloration, and there are no signs of big problems underneath. And I bet you never noticed the ridge around the grille up front, which was 1970-only and typically seen only standard Skylarks. The tan cloth and vinyl interior is also all original and in very good condition overall. There\'s some light fading and discoloration on the tops of the seats where the sun has been hitting them for the past four and a half decades, but the seat cushions and covers are intact and still quite attractive. Factory carpets are protected by floor mats that are also quite likely original, and the unique steering wheel is unusual only because we\'re so used to the sporty GS models. Basic instruments cover speed and fuel level, which is really all you need to know on a car like this, and it\'s fitted with desirable features like power windows and factory A/C, all of which are operating correctly. The factory AM radio works too! This particular Skylark also features a very tidy original trunk with spatter finish paint, a correct mat, and what may very well be the original spare tire with a matching cover. Buick\'s 350 cubic inch V8 is quietly competent, with good torque and remains silky smooth in the Custom models. This is unquestionably the original, numbers-matching engine, and it is the upgraded 4-barrel version that was a bit more powerful than the base 2-barrel. Bright Dante Red paint on the engine itself makes it easy to identify Buick powerplants, and while it\'s not all shiny and perfect, there are plenty of signs of careful maintenance over the years. There are no major deviations from stock, so it starts and runs well and never seems to be working very hard. A TH350 3-speed automatic delivers crisp shifts and the whole powertrain has a polished feeling that\'s a big part of a survivor\'s appeal. There\'s a new single exhaust system underneath, so it has the right sound, and as you can see, the undercarriage has nothing to hide with original floors unmarred by heavy undercoating. Standard steel wheels with hubcaps are still there, but the 215/75/14 whitewall radials give it that big Buick ride. Just a neat survivor with good power and a lot of charm. What more do you need at such an affordable price? Call today! This vehicle is located in our Charlotte showroom. For more information, please call (704) 598-2130 or toll free (866) 542-8392. informati[email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1972 Buick GS455 Stage 1 Restored Concours Gold GS 455 Stage 1 Convertible Year: 1972 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Orange Mileage: 49055 Transmission type: 3 Speed Automatic Engine: 455 V8 Interior color: White Vehicle info It's a shame so many enthusiasts overlook the Buick Skylark when shopping for an A-body toy. Chevelles and GTOs, sure, but everyone seems to forget that the big Buicks, like the GS455, made more torque than any other gasoline engine GM built until the arrival of the latest supercharged Corvette ZR1. By 1972, compression was down, but the Buick was still a strong performer as the GS nailed 14-second quarter mile times at better than 100 MPH. And it did so while loaded with luxury features that were not available on its corporate cousins. This stunning Flame Orange GS is one of only 81 Stage 1 convertibles built in '72, one of only 66 built with an automatic transmission, and is believed to be one of 25 identically optioned Buick Zone Office cars. With a Concours Gold-winning restoration and full documentation courtesy of the Sloan Museum, this car is NOT to be missed. With a full package of paperwork from the Sloan Museum, this highly optioned GS Stage 1 is a coupe for the muscle car fan who doesn't want to give up, well, anything to get his performance fix. Check out this options list, which added more than $2,000 to the bottom line and brought the total to $5,556.67-dangerously close to 1972 Corvette territory:34: GS45567: ConvertibleZZ: Flame Orange1: White convertible top245: White notchback bench seat interiorB2: Turbo Hydramatic 400 transmissionCF: Power disc brakes and variable ratio power steeringDN: AM Sonoramic radio, rear speaker and stereo tape deckE6: Through bumper exhaust extensionsF7: G60-15 Firestone Wide Oval white letter tires and chrome plated wheelsG1: Performance axle with positive traction (standard with Stage 1)I6: Air conditioningJ1: Custom seat beltsL2: Soft-Ray tinted windshieldNF: Front and rear bumper guards and bumper strips front and rearO6: Sport outside rear view mirrorsS7: Tilt steeringUD: Full Rally Gauge package with clock and Convenience Group (trunk light, mirror map light)V2: Chrome plated wheels (standard with F9 Firestone Wide Oval tires)X2: Rallye steering wheel The car was treated to a frame-off restoration in 2006, and has recently been freshened for competition at the highest levels, including an all-new fully functional factory A/C system. Flame Orange is an incredibly rare color on an already shockingly rare car, and the bright hue was so far outside Buick's comfort zone that only a handful were built. Nevertheless, it looks fantastic on the Skylark's handsome sheetmetal, which is so perfectly proportioned that it's quite likely impossible to make it look bad. Then & Now Automotive in Marietta, Georgia handled the bodywork, and the results are, obviously, show-stopping. The paint is now two-stage urethane which looks about a mile deep and has a shine that no '70s finish could match. Just look at the way the panels line up, the way the light reflects off the paint, and the care with which it was all assembled. It's not surprising that this one has racked up some pretty impressive wins. All the details are correct as well. Although the basic body shape didn't change, Buick adjusted the detailing on the cars every year, making things like the grille unique from year to year. All the chrome on this one has been restored to concours condition, the stainless is fully polished to match, and yes, that grille is original and correct. Proper GS Stage 1 badges were installed, and details like the original T3 headlights and cool through-the-bumper exhaust tips help separate this car from its brothers. The engine is a date-code-correct WS-stamped warranty replacement block that was installed not too long after delivery. Why, we can't say for certain, but it's probably easy to guess. But there's no doubt that it's a correct GS Stage 1 block. The engine bay has been detailed for national competition and given the list of awards it has already won, it's clear that everything is correctly restored. It may show a few signs of use, most notably in some discolored paint around the exhaust ports, but that's how they looked the moment they were driven off the transport trucks and into the dealer's showroom. Please note that new A/C system, also installed by the guys at Then & Now, who obviously have some expertise with this car, and which uses 100% original components and blows ice cold today. While you could get a 4-speed in your GS Stage 1, an automatic really seems like the better choice in a Buick and suffers no performance penalty behind the big block. The TH400 in this ragtop is the original, numbers-matching piece, complete with a crystal clear VIN stamp on the driver's side pan rail and a Stage 1 specific code BB tag is riveted to the passenger's side. Out back there's an indestructible 12-bolt full of 3.42 gears on a Posi-traction limited slip, which deliver neck-snapping acceleration and remarkably comfortable high-speed cruising abilities. The frame wears a correct coat of satin black, and the beautifully finished floors are the perfect background for the restored suspension and braking systems. And if there's a more beautiful muscle car wheel than the Buick chrome Rallys, I haven't seen it. On this car, they are also wearing correct G60-15 Goodyear Polyglas bias-ply tires. The glittering white vinyl "notchback" interior is bright enough to require eye protection. The white is the ideal choice in a convertible, especially a bright orange one, because it avoids two common problems with black interiors: excessive sweating on a hot day and the appearance of the Great Pumpkin. There's fresh foam under those new seat covers, so the car feels like new from behind the wheel, and the dash pad and instruments have been completely restored. New black carpets show no signs of wear, and the door panels don't even have that slight depression where the driver might rest his elbow. As I mentioned, the A/C system is brand new and blows ice cold, and this car also carries an optional 8-track tape player, which is mounted below the dash and separate from the AM radio. Overhead there's a professionally fitted white power convertible top that stashes itself behind the seats in seconds, where it's hidden by a matching white boot. Thanks to the archives at the Sloan Museum, there's a lot of factory documentation with this Buick. In addition to the original owner's manual and warranty booklets, we also have a 1972 Buick/Opel advance information booklet, a reproduction window sticker, a copy of the original build sheet, and a letter stating that this car may have been a special test vehicle used by GM; which might explain the replacement block and the low VIN number and options package believed to be shared with 24 other Zone Office cars. There's also a beautifully presented display board with a complete listing of this car's features and options as well as a CD full of restoration photos. You'll also get the Concours Gold award from the GS Nationals-winning first prize there is as good as it gets. The car also won a gold award at the 2010 Buick Performance Group's 2010 national meet and is officially registered with the GS Stage 1 Registry. Finally, it includes receipts for much of the restoration work, detailed right down to the transportation charges getting it to the facility before the work even started and totaling more than $90,000. Rare, fast and beautiful, this Buick GS Stage 1 is for the discerning collector who knows the difference between a nice car and a great car. Big block A-body convertibles remain top-quality investments, and Buicks are starting to see some movement after decades of living in their corporate cousins' shadows. Already a documented prize-winner at the very highest levels, this lovely convertible represents the end of the great muscle cars. If you've been looking for something different to add to your collection, this GS is awfully hard to beat! About this auction & rk motors charlotte Please note that all sales are binding and final.
