1969 VW Dune Buggy with 4 seats. I believe this is a Tuff Tub kit that is installed on a full length VW frame. Engine is a dual port but I am not sure what size it is. Battery is located under back seat. I have some new parts on it and some new parts to be installed. It is running but stuck in 1st gear at the present. May need to have the shifter plate adjusted or have the clutch checked, I am not sure. I also have a disassembled spare engine. I have added a few things to make the car street legal in NC but have not finished. I added a GPS speedometer and the mileage on the speedo is at 000008. I do not have a title so I can only offer a bill of sale. Needs small amount of work to make a beautiful car. It turns heads as is. Plenty of leg room since it is on a full length frame. *Had to list title as rebuilt in order to list car. I do not have a title. Buyer is responsible for Pickup/Delivery of vehicle. Vehicle will need to be towed or trailered. I REQUIRE A Non-Refundable $250.00 DEPOSIT WITH PAYPAL AT AUCTION END. SOLD AS-IS * NO WARRANTY * NO REFUNDS * NO RETURNS. No title just Bill of Sale Payment CASH IN PERSON -OR- PAYPAL NO CHECKS!!! NO CHECKS!!! NO CHECKS!!!

This 1967 Volkswagen dune buggy is the automobile distilled into pure fun. Sure, it\'s still transportation, but this car was built to put a big grin on your face and nothing else. It offers lots of recent work, so it\'s not only great looking but also ready to enjoy. We can all but guarantee you\'ll be the only guy tooling around in one of these even though the look is instantly familiar. Unlike, say, the Myers Manx, this is strictly a 2-seater and that gives it neat proportions that look great, as if it were a cross between a dune buggy and a T-bucket. Long, flowing fenders contrast with the squared-off deck in back, but the whole design is very professional and well-executed so nothing looks sub-standard. Repainted two years ago, the fiberglass is in good condition with no major signs of age and a great gloss that\'s quite appropriate to something of this vintage. This is motoring down to its barest essence, so there isn\'t much chrome save for the bug-eyed headlights up front and that big, upright windshield. In back, the VW Beetle engine becomes an integral part of the overall look and it\'s fascinating to watch this sucker run down the road. More minimalism inside where simple pleated black vinyl looks good, wears well, and is weather-resistant enough for its alfresco duties. Hop over the side of the tub and it\'s easy to settle in behind the wheel and you\'ll find that the driving position is more early British roadster than German economy car, and with those big pontoon fenders out there, you can clip apexes more easily than you ever thought possible. Creature comforts are few and that\'s entirely the point here; anything that wasn\'t necessary for the job of having fun was omitted. That means no windshield wipers, no heater, not even a radio, simply because you\'ll be blasting along having too much fun to need to worry about additional entertainment. The VW\'s original gauge pod was neatly installed in the dash and aftermarket turn signals are affixed to the side of the steering column for safety\'s sake. Floor coverings are institutional and easy to maintain, which is this car\'s mantra. VW\'s air-cooled flat four needs no introduction, and this 1493 cc unit provides plenty of power for the flyweight dune buggy. Painted bright red to match the bodywork, the engine is equipped with the usual hop-up parts, including a bigger carburetor that was installed in June 2014, and exotic exhaust headers with chrome tips that are as much styling element as noise suppression system. The Beetle\'s 4-speed manual transmission and floor pan made the transition intact and with the low center of gravity, handling is adept. Obviously this was never someone\'s winter beater, so the underside remains in very good order with no glaring trouble spots. Lots of finned aluminum helps with the air-cooled engine at seed and you\'ll undoubtedly find that this car loves to play. Oddly enough, GM Rally wheels bolt right on and now carry 205/70/15 front and 235/60/15 rear tires that look positively gigantic on the tiny car\'s frame. This car also comes with a tow bar to be used behind, say, an RV, suggesting that someone has already realized that a vacation on wheels is what this car is all about. Call today! Believe it or not, this is a 1973 Volkswagen Beetle. Stripped bare, given a tube chassis, and fitted with a hot-rod engine, it\'s got the power-to-weight ratio of a slingshot and yes, it\'s totally street-legal. Go out and have some fun in the dirt, guilt-free, because you\'re not going to break this purpose-built sand rail. There\'s really no bodywork to speak of, and all of the hardware is out there on display, so they did a great job of making it look good. The red chassis and tube frame shows high-quality welds that have been dressed and finished before the whole thing was painted, making it almost too nice to go out and play in the dirt. In the interest of comfort, Lexan panels were affixed to the sides of the body to offer a modicum of protection without spoiling the illusion of a bare-bones off-road machine and offering unparalleled visibility in all directions. You won\'t be high-centering this one on a rock you didn\'t see. It\'s properly outfitted with headlights, turn signals, horn, bumpers (well, kind of), and taillights, both down low and up high, so it\'s plenty visible in traffic. It\'s also a ton of fun to scoot through bigger, slower cars as if you\'re driving a 4-wheeled motorcycle. A pair of racing buckets were bolted to the frame, diamond plate floors were fabricated for protection from below, and you get the minimum equipment needed to operate a motor vehicle. Once you\'re in there, it\'s actually quite comfortable, and the passenger gets a convenient grab handle that\'s there, you know, just in case. For the driver, there\'s a deep-dish competition-style steering wheel, a 4-speed shifter with a T-handle, and a set of Equus gauges that include speedometer, voltmeter, tachometer, and oil pressure to monitor the engine. No radio, no heater, no A/C, nothing that would get in the way of having fun and going fast. Honestly, you\'ll have more fun watching the front wheels do their thing and the reactions of the motorists around you than you would listening to the radio anyway. The roof is another sheet of diamond plate, not really designed to keep the rain off your head, but maybe it\'ll keep the sun out of your eyes when you\'re out playing. It\'s titled as a 1973 Volkswagen Beetle because most of the hardware came from one. The engine is a familiar air-cooled flat-four that was professionally built for this car and its intended purpose. Dual carbs, custom exhaust headers, and plenty of chrome make it not only fast, but an attractive part of the overall look. It\'s clearly designed for severe environments with heavy-duty fittings and braided stainless hoses, as well as a big polished gas tank mounted up high. Four-wheel independent suspension allows it to leap over obstacles without getting hurt and with 4-wheel disc brakes, it stops as well as it goes, another advantage of its tiny curb weight. Chrome wheels don\'t need to be massive to be effective and with staggered 216/65/15 front and 295/50/15 rear radials, it doesn\'t mind prowling the streets or the trails. This is a toy, no question about it, but few toys are this functional and this well finished. Come take it for a drive and you\'ll see what we mean. Call now!
