Up for bid is : 1925 Dodge Brothers Sedan - All Steel "Budd Body" - Rat Rod This car was built by Cruisin' Customs' Hot Rod Shop in Mt.Olive Michigan They build some pretty Sick Cool Customs! (check out their website, I'm sure you will see pics of this car) (this car has won 2 trophies at the Detroit Autorama, (before i owned it) I have owned the car for almost 10 years the body has been channeled 4 inches in the rear and 6 inches in the front, it has the original frame that has been boxed where needed, it has a 1939 ford suspension, the rear-end is out of a 1955 chevy, it has F-1 manual drum brakes all around, the roof is from a 1960s ford station wagon, the vintage fiberglass buckets and rear bench seat are from a dune buggy, steering column is from an old willys jeep, it has a 1930s motorcycle brake/taillight that has been "frenched" in, the original cowl lights are now front blinkers, it has an 11 gallon spun aluminum gas tank, new safety glass tilt-out windshield, rear suicide doors, all 6 side windows roll down, the original radiator frame has been customized to fit, custom radiator with electric fan, vintage Stewart Warner 160 mph speedometer, sun-pro gauges, vintage long arm peep mirriors, the original rear view mirror, automatic floor shift, original cowl vent still works, vintage bake lite suicide knob, and a prizmatic traffic light viewer Engine and automatic transmission are from a 1965 Buick Riviera. 401 big block "Nailhead" with factory dual quad intake, it has 2 edelbrock (650cfm?) 4 barrel carberators, custom built baffeled zoomie headers, miles on engine are un-known, odometer reads 07698.4 miles, in dash Sony AM/FM stereo/CD player, NO speakers Extras : car comes with original hood, 3 original glass windows, original rear window pull down shade coil and brackets, 7 New safety glass windows*, New chrome spark plug wire covers, a complete gasket kit for 401 (minus the gaskets i installed) *car needs new safety glass windows installed, i have all the steel window trim, screws and window tracks (except 1, which will be easy to make) you will need weather striping to install interior is thin luan wood panels ready for pad/material car starts right up, but takes a little while to warm up and stay running, installing a manual choke would fix that, but i have always just sat there feathering the pedal. i dont know much about carberators, i have been told that when you have dual quads you need to have them synced and adjusted together every year or so depending on how much you drive it, i have never done that in 10 years, the car has strong exhaust fumes when running, it runs good when warmed up, (but would probably run better if the carbs were synced and tuned), drives good, and is VERY FAST! after owning the car 6 years, i painted it flat black with 5 rattle cans of Rustoleum. i pulled the motor and transmission out, cleaned, de-greaesed and power washed them. i painted the engine, installed new trans pan gasket, oil pan gasket, exhaust manifold and valley pan gaskets, valve cover gaskets and all the chrome on the engine, new plugs, wires, cap and rotor, etc. about 6 months later i bought a home. so,.. the car has been sitting, i havent put 200 miles on it since i purchased my home 3 years ago. i installed a cork gasket on the trans pan, after sitting 3 years now, the transmission is leaking a small spot under the car. i also noticed the rear passenger wheel cylinder is leaking and fluid is running down the inside of the rim/tire. car needs a hole cut in the floor board to acces the top of the master cylinder to add fluid, or you can pump it in, car still stops fine, but needs the rear brake cylinder replaced. the tailight pocket needs to be grinded down and some more welding to finish it off (if you want, it is sturdy and not going anywhere, i installed it, but i am NOT a welder so it just looks bad) the rear drivers tire has had a nail in it for almost 10 years now, i fill it up about 4 times a year car has a few small dings and dents, some rust holes on the rear drivers side door, and cowl. it has a small amout of bondo under the taillight that is covering dents from someone who was pushing the car with their body instead of their hands, the gas tank needs to be removed to bang the dents out and remove the bondo please use the zoom and enlarge options to view pics ask if you want to see anything specific, i will upload or text more pictures PLEASE ask ALL questions BEFORE bidding!!!!!!! car is for sale locally, i reserve the right to end this auction at anytime Winner of the auction will pick car up or pay for shipping to their location $500.00 deposit due within 24 hours of auctions end, remaining balance within 7 days On Sep-25-15 at 09:38:57 PDT, seller added the following information: Also, i forgot to mention.. each rear wheelwell has a rust hole behind the tire. There are no seatbelts in the car. The dome light is original to the roof but is not hooked up. I will be uploading more pics on sunday. Please message me if you want to see something specific. Car sold as is no warranty no returns
