1967 Ford Galaxie 500 4 door. The body condition is good overall, with one small spot of rust through the passenger side rear panel. Almost all the trim is there minus a very small piece on driver's side near the taillight. Grille, bumpers are in pretty good shape. Frame appears to have been coated at one time and is in very good shape. All glass is in good shape. Headlights and taillights are all there and functional. Interior is decent for such an old car. Typical rips on the driver's side and small cracks around the speaker in the dash. Plastic on the dash is all there and uncut and even the original horn ring is in place. Front bench seat is electric and is working very well. Door panels are good and all window hardware is there an intact. Carpet shows 47 years of wear. Rear seat is in good condition. Headliner has one spot in the rear on passenger side by windshield that is detached, but mostly in great shape. Even the clock works with a little coaxing. 390 engine is in good running condition, although could use a tune-up and the carburetor needs some work. The C-6 transmission will engage in reverse and drive, but does not shift on its own. If I shift manually from either drive or 1 into 2 it will shift. I've been told the vacuum modulator is bad and replacing this might cure that problem. BE PREPARED TO TOW THIS VEHICLE AS I DON'T SUGGEST IT TO BE DRIVEN WITHOUT THE TRANSMISSION REPAIRED.. This car has power brakes and disc on the front. Front tires are brand new with less than 100 miles on them. Air conditioning is the factory installed unit, not the under dash add on. Original compressor is there but the previous owner did not put a belt on it when he bought it from the original owner (he replaced the other belts before he drove it across the state when he bought it). I drove it home 120 miles 2 years ago when I bought it and it ran out fine @ 70 mph on the highway. Whether you are looking for an easy project or a donor for your hot rod this would be a solid candidate for either. Unfortunately it has the 8.5 inch rear end, not the 9 that everyone is looking for. The front end is very loose and will need probably all tie rods replaced.
